Likemind Safe uses an organization-based role system. Every user belongs to at least one organization (their own, created automatically at signup). Users can also be invited to other organizations.

3.1 Organization Roles

RoleDescription
OwnerThe person who created the organization. Has full access to all features.
MemberAn invited user. Access depends on their assigned workflow role.

3.2 Workflow Roles

Each member is assigned exactly one workflow role:
Workflow RoleAccessible Features
AuditorAudit Planner, CAP Planner, Export, Photo Library
ReviewerReviewer Portal, Profile
Owners always have auditor-level access plus access to owner-only features: Dashboard, Setup, Billing, and Knowledge Base. Important: Auditor and Reviewer workflow roles are mutually exclusive. A member cannot hold both roles simultaneously within the same organization.

3.3 Multi-Organization Access

A user can be a member of multiple organizations. Their access level is determined by their role in the currently active organization. Users can switch between organizations using the Organization Switcher in the navigation bar. If a user is an Owner in one organization and a Reviewer in another, their available features change when they switch organizations.

3.4 Access Level Priority

The system determines the user’s global access level across all memberships:
  • If the user is an Owner or Auditor in any organization → access level is “auditor”
  • If the user is only a Reviewer → access level is “reviewer”
  • If the user has no memberships → access level is “none”
This determines whether the user can choose Auditor Mode at login.
