4. Dashboard

The Dashboard (/dashboard) provides a comprehensive analytics view organized into five tabs.

4.1 Overview Tab

The default landing view showing:
  • AI Briefing — AI-generated executive summary of your safety data (see §13.4)
  • KPI Cards:
    • Total Incidents
    • Open Incidents
    • Overdue CAPA Actions
    • Closure Rate (%)
  • Charts:
    • Category Breakdown (pie chart)
    • Severity Distribution
    • Status Distribution
    • Incident Type Breakdown
  • Recent Incidents — quick-access card list
  • CAPA Overview — Hierarchy of Controls breakdown

4.2 Human Safety Tab

Focused on OSHA-standard safety metrics:
  • LTI Count — total Lost Time Injuries
  • LTIFR — Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate per 1M man-hours
  • TRIR — Total Recordable Incident Rate per 1M man-hours (based on 200K in some standards)
  • Incident Rate — LTI per 10,000 direct employees
  • Severity Rate — Lost days per 1M man-hours
  • Safety Rate Trends — monthly LTIFR, TRIR, IR, SR chart over 12 months
  • Recurring Hazards — top hazard tags by frequency
Prerequisite: Safety rates require man-hours data entered in Settings → Safety Data.

4.3 Equipment Tab

For tracking equipment-related incidents:
  • Equipment Incidents count
  • Total Downtime (hrs)
  • Repair Cost total
  • Assets Affected count
  • MTBF — Mean Time Between Failures (hours)
  • Availability percentage
  • Failure Mode Breakdown chart
  • Asset Type Breakdown chart
  • Top Affected Assets table
  • Equipment Incident Trend — monthly trend over 12 months

4.4 Process Safety Tab

Groups process, fire, and near_miss category incidents:
  • Process Incidents count
  • Fire Incidents count
  • Near Misses count
  • Recent Incidents in these categories
  • CAPA Overview for process safety

4.5 Environment & Property Tab

Groups environmental and property_damage category incidents:
  • Environmental Incidents count
  • Property Damage count
  • Recent Incidents in these categories
  • CAPA Overview

4.6 AI Briefing

Located at the top of the Overview tab:
  1. Click “Generate Briefing”
  2. AI analyzes your current dashboard data (incidents, KPIs, trends, hazards)
  3. Produces an executive summary with key findings and recommendations
  4. Can be toggled visible/hidden with the eye icon

4.7 Date Range Filtering

All dashboard data can be filtered by date range:
  • Use the date range picker in the dashboard header
  • Default range: current calendar year
  • Affects all KPI calculations, charts, and trend data
